Taiwan is known for its oolongs. The word "oolong" means "dark dragon" - an appropriate name for the dark, curling tea leaves.
Oolong tea is "true tea," meaning it comes from the plant Camellia sinensis. Its partial oxidation puts it between green and black teas in terms of caffeination and flavour.
DONG DING OOLONG
This Dong Ding oolong comes from Nantou County in Central Taiwan. The tea is light, floral, and slightly fruity. Steep for 2 minutes in fresh, 80° water. Steep again and again - each steep will bring you a deeper, more complex flavour.
Milky oolong is known for its unique, sweet, and creamy fragrance - truly a delicacy. The leaves uncurl after each steep. Try steeping in a glass vessel to really appreciate the beauty of this tea!
